Microzones of the municipal seismic microzonation studies (DPC, CNR-IGAG), with amplification factors, study level and the seismic zone of the municipality.
Microzones of the municipal seismic microzonation (MS) studies around the site (2 km), in 6 classes: stable zones (bedrock); stable zones prone to local amplification; instability for differential settlement, cavities or overlapping instabilities; slope instability (landslide); liquefaction; active and capable fault. Codes follow the Italian MS standards (Standard MS 4.2). Where studies of different levels overlap the most detailed wins (level 3, then 2, then 1), and instabilities are drawn over stable zones. Source. Archive of the municipal MS studies, Italian Civil Protection Department and CNR-IGAG (webms.it, CC BY 4.0, about 520.000 microzones of 3.124 municipalities, October 2026); seismic classification of the municipalities, Civil Protection Department (May 2025). Mirrored by 3Bee in dated snapshots. Reading the map. The layer reports the study status at the site (study present, municipality without study, point not mapped by the study), the most detailed level touching the site, its highest amplification factors (FA for periods 0.1-0.5, 0.4-0.8, 0.7-1.1 s, FH, FPGA, FV for velocity, FT topographic; a missing factor was not computed) and the seismic zone of the municipality as published, with regional subzones. Limits. About 5.100 municipalities have no study (most of Piedmont, Lombardy, Sardinia, Trentino-Alto Adige, Aosta Valley) and a study maps only part of its municipality: neither case is a stable zone. Municipalities merged after the study keep the old boundaries, so their seismic zone may be missing. The data does not replace a site-specific seismic response analysis and the geological report.
